THIS IS NOT A FAITH IN GOD THAT EVEN THE ABOVE-AVERAGE BEAR CAN WALK! It's a walk of life that's seen its share of trials, triumphs, and tragedies...of hard lessons learned and tough prices that have been paid. Tears have been shed more times than can be counted. A lot of miles had have to be walked in a number of kinds for different shoes.

 

But it's also been a walk of many blessings...of many people that I've met along my own road of life. Men and women both of low and high stations...some have become longtime close friends while others I've only gotten to meet a time or two. Regardless of the situation, they were pivotal in various ways in shaping the many threads and strands that have been my life.

 

This walk also saw the direct transformation of what was once the Worldwide Church of God (now Grace Communion International) (WCG/GCI) from a theological maverick outsider to most of evangelical Christianity to one of the biggest news stories of the late 20th-century from the viewpoint of a member who was there to witness some parts of what proved to be some of WCG/GCI's most tumultuous periods in its denominational history. And the same one who walked some of those paths also attempts to tell some of the stories of others he has known that walked some of the same paths he did, but are for one reason or another aren't here to tell them.

 

It's also a walk of faith that will challenge you to consider new things about this "faith once delivered to the saints" that most in Christianity haven't thought of. It's not a walk for the faint of heart or the uncommitted...it will require you to pay the price. But it will for those who dare to walk it bring about showers of His blessing and open heavens that cannot be contained.
