BSPOP/BSPM FALL HOLY DAYS 2020 ENEWSLETTER---INTRODUCTION

Howdy and shalom alechem from the flatlands as the upcoming Fall Festivals pass by this way again! I owe everyone MAJOR apologies for not writing sooner and for what has been a complete suspension of publication efforts of these newsletters over the past couple or more years or so as we once did in the past. But a lot of personal issues and situations have prevented me in recent times from communicating to all of you in a relatively timely fashion outside of Facebook posts until now--and as a result, I had decided that postponement of these enewsletters was best until I could begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel as to the resolution of these matters. In light of recent events and changes, we now feel it was the best time to resume publication of these newsletters and hope that we will get back on a more timelier schedule as time progresses (with our next major one around the time of Hanukkah). And we plan with this edition to make up for some lost time by actually providing you with a DOUBLE DOSE of our world-famous MAIN STUDY OF TWO PARTS on a subject that seems most appropos in the current situation we live in. We’ll head right to that MAIN STUDY right after we catch you up on a few necessary BUSINESS AND MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENTS that have been going on in the world of BSPOP and BSPM since we wrote you last--

(1.) BSPOP/BSPM BUSINESS AND MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENTS--

(A.) After a very trying year or two dealing with some major personal and financial setbacks including eviction from an apartment that was my home for around nine years, marginal homelessness, and having to deal with continuing financial challenges, we at BSPOP/BSPM can at least still say that our God has still found ways out of no ways to help us endure these setbacks and start the journey once again of rebuilding and working towards getting back on a bit more firmer personal terra firma.

That has even included all of our business and ministry enterprizes. 2019 saw in spite of our personal challenges some of the better results as far as vendor booths were concerned. With continued appearances on Plainview 2nd Saturdays as well as a repeat performance with Lockney’s Old Fashioned Saturday Night (in which we in particular saw our best results for the entire year book saleswise) and also an appearance in Hale Center for the EMS Fest, it was our most productive booth year on record up to date.

Efforts in 2020 before the pandemic hit were to attempt to improve upon that booth success of 2019. Thanks in part to the first stimulus check in April, we were able to finally accomplish a few major goals businesswise that had long eluded us for a while--including the purchase of additional materials to further enhance the look and efficency of future booths at special area events to get the word out not only about the services available with BSPOP and CoyRH-SEATC Clerical, but also about various ministries in the area as well. We were after about at least a couple of years or so of waiting able to finally purchase FULL yearly memberships with BOTH the Plainview Downtown Association and the Plainview Chamber of Commerce to not only enhance the legitimacy of our business endeavors, but also process greater opportunities for increased advertising--including, for example, advertising with the High Plains Radio Network for the PDA July 2nd Saturday event that we were able to hold post-pandemic in conjunction with Broadway Gifts and Antiques.

Unfortunately, the pandemic did regretfully cause the Chamber of Commerces in both Hale Center and Lockney to cancel their usual events (Hale Center--4th of July; Lockney--Old Fashioned Saturday Night) and thus preventing return appearances in those towns. But businesswise, we have still remained undeterred and have at least attempted to utilize the additional time and resources available now to us to continue these rebuilding efforts and further enhance our operations. We even have started an attempt to do what has amounted to be a sort of continual fundraiser on behalf of both the Jubilee Prison Ministry and also Bridges To Life (even as TDCJ has sadly continued its shutdown of all units statewide to ministry volunteers) to do our part during the current crisis to stay active in some form ministrywise to help keep both Jubilee and Bridges To Life financially strong and in the black in the interim.

AND if that weren’t enough, we were able to cross a very significant milestone this year via the sending of our very first promo set of BSPOP releases to the great state of Alaska in which we were able to receive as a result what basically amounted to be about 30 total seconds of INTERNATIONAL coverage via the Somers In Alaska YouTube channel in which the producers of that channel literally showed each of our releases to their viewers and for the first time gave much-needed exposure to an audience that would not otherwise be aware of our efforts here at BSPOP. Even if we haven’t necessarily been able to communicate with all of you in as timely a fashion as we have in the past, IT DOES NOT necessarily mean that we were completely off the radar entirely! NO, SIR--NO, MA’AM!! In fact, despite continued hardships still attempting to chase us, we have been definitely experiencing some of our busiest and most productive days even in what amounts for most to be a time of pandemic and famine. And we are confident through His power and strength that some better times and opportunities still await us ahead as we continue to trust Him for his wisdom, discernment, and provision to continue to do so.

Current plans and efforts are centered around the following:

(a.) We STILL have not stopped our efforts to FINALLY get in on Punkin Days on Oct. 10th in Floydada even after all this time...and in fact at the time of this newsletter’s publication, feel that this year it will finally be within reasonable reach and grasp for us. Stay tuned to updates on both of our Facebook pages for new developments on this as they may arise…

(b.) Especially in light of what happened back in the spring with the economic shutdown and the focus of most business in our nation and world on online and virtual operations of businesses, we are now especially working hard to find a way to FINALLY allow YOU to be able to purchase all of our current BSPOP releases directly off our website. We are currently exploring options from various vendors to hopefully get an online store off the ground. Please keep an eye on our Facebook pages for current updates on that as well…

(c.) SPEAKING OF OUR CURRENT ROUTES of online access, you can still access our website at http://coyrhseatcbspm.wixsite.com/walking for detailed info on all of the services we currently offer at BSPOP and CoyRH/SEATC Clerical. Remember that current contact info is also available through that website as well as access to past e-newsletters, detailed info on all of our current BSPOP releases, free downloadable sample chapters of each of our books, and more. You can also reach us directly on Facebook through either my personal page @CoyHolley or @Broken and Shattered Promises Ministries and even IM us there. You can also email us at bspopwalking@gmail.com and/or text or call us at either (806) 994-6263 or if necessary our backup number at (806) 494-2483 for any questions, etc. you might have about all services at CoyRH/SEATC Clerical and BSPOP. And of course, all of our current BSPOP book releases can also be purchased directly on Amazon with all releases still available in paperback format and everything except “Sowing In Tears” still available also in e-book format as well (although ineligible for any direct specials we can better offer you directly at BSPOP)!

(D.) We are hoping to FINALLY very soon get the ball rolling on another long-standing goal--formal incorporation and starting of operations of Broken and Shattered Promises Ministries as a SEPARATE non-profit 501(c) ministry organization focusing on the needs of those directly impacted by our criminal justice system--that is, offenders, ex-offenders, victims of violent crime (especially   those affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault), correctional officers, and law enforcement officials). Now more than ever in these troubled times, it is becoming critical that His Church step up to the forefront on these issues. We hope to finally soon be one of those groups rising up to help fill up the current void in the system and do His Kingdom business in the process. We hope that our God will lead you to join us as part of this unique endeavor. If He does, we’d appreciate hearing from you at the first available opportunity available to you. Please also stay in touch with our Facebook pages for updates as they may arise.

(E.) If that weren’t enough in our current plate and agenda, we still feel (especially in light of recent events) that a FIFTH special project is very much on our immediate horizon. AND ON TOP OF IT--it won’t just be a book...but we also feel that original music will be an integral part of it. Sorry, though--now’s not the time to publically talk about details. But rest assured--we are confident that if it’s something truly established by Him that it will be good. Continued prayers and intercession for the development of this upcoming project in the meantime would be very much appreciated.

(E.) IN MEMORIAM--But even in the pace of very busy activities here, we wish to still in light of recent events fly our flags at half-staff in memory of some special people to myself and our efforts here at BSPOP and CoyRH/SEATC Clerical--(1.) Emmitt Tipton (a very good longtime personal friend of mine who died recently from various complications from diabetes, kidney problems, etc.)

(2.) Denise Webb (one of my aunts and the wife of 32 years of my uncle Randy Webb who died suddenly of a stroke this summer)

(3.) Lynda Holley (This year on July 29 marks the one-year anniversary of my mother’s passing from complications from renal failure as well as an immense amount of long-standing medical issues. She to me was especially supportive as she could be of my writing efforts--and even though there are some things she will not be able to personally see me do this side of His Kingdom, it at least was nice to know that she did get to receive one of the first initial sets of my first four books while she was still alive to receive them. For many years (even after my decisions to be a part of the Worldwide Church of God, etc.), she was one of those rare individuals who did what she could to stand with me when I faced some of my greatest personal challenges. And even though she still to this day is particularly highly missed, I do at least still have the confidence that when the fullness of His Glorious Kingdom comes back to this earth, she will be one of those witnesses waiting to greet me in the grandstands, give me a big hug, and ask me--”...What’s a going on?”)

For all of the above mentioned here, we say as our Jewish brethren would express in this way--”...May their memories be for a blessing…” And as the Apostle Paul would probably say about occasions such as Rosh Ha’Shanah--that in a twinkling of an eye, those of us who are true believers will first see these dead arise, then we who are still alive will get to go back to our final eternal home with them when that final shofar blows and He tells us that it’s finally suppertime at last. May THAT day come much sooner than we think--but yet not one day earlier than necessary so that more souls will have the chance to also go to that final eternal home with us.
