AND NOW FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: ...that is, concerning what will be the start of some special meetings to help get Broken and Shattered Promises Ministries off and running! In the fall after school starts, we will be starting a series of monthly prayer and organizational meetings focused on learning how we in the Church and Universal Body of our Messiah here in the Plainview area can better serve those affected in some way by the criminal justice system (whether they be prisoners, ex-offenders, families of prisoners/offenders, correctional officers, law enforcement officials, and/or victims of violent crime (especially those affected in some fashion by either domestic violence and/or sexual assault). We also hope to provide various ways in the process for our area churches to attempt to be a blessing to the Jewish people as is possible. 

Each of these initial meetings will as is possible feature special speakers that will talk about what each particular group faces, brief Q and A sessions allowing participants to ask these speakers further questions about their experiences, and then a time of Spirit-led prayer in regards to various related situations that we are aware of here in our area. We hope to use this as a springboard to formulate a effective coordinated plan of ministry to these affected groups that will be non-denominational/transdenominational in nature and that will cut across all racial, religious, and other barriers and that will allow the Body of Christ in Plainview to provide assistance as is possible to those affected by our criminal justice system that will demonstrate in PRACTICAL ways the love of our Saviour towards them.
